India's history of clothing goes back to the Indus Valley Civilisation where cotton was spun, woven and dyed. A variety of weaving and dyeing techniques were employed in ancient India, many of which survive to the present day, each region having developed its distinct style and methods.

Sourced directly from the weavers, you will find in our collection a sampling of sarees from Chanderi which have beautifully married the Kalamkari print styles from Andhra, gorgeous tusser weaves from Bhagalpur, and some stunning linen weaves in the colours of spring, aptly named the Bahar saree.
